Hip Hop is Green is a food and climate justice organization that focuses on systemic change through youth education and empowerment using the impactful culture of Hip Hop. We focus on organic and hydroponic gardening, climate action events, vegan food education, and serve primarily Black and brown communities.  We are looking for an experienced, resourceful, creative, and charismatic Fund Development Coordinator to create and execute fundraising campaigns to source grassroot individual and high net worth donors. The Fund Development Coordinator  is also responsible for maintenance and management of donor databases, digital marketing campaigns, paid and earned social campaigns, and SMS donor nurture campaigns. 

To be successful as our Fund Development Coordinator you must have
excellent networking skills, experience with donor relations, being efficient in planning initiatives in advance, and able to manage multiple tasks at once.

Fund Development Coordinator Responsibilities:

• Source new donors, nurture potential future donors, maintain strong relationships with all donors, and develop donor nurture plans by donor personae. Imagine, plan, and execute donor relationship building and fundraising events both in person and virtually.
• Create digital marketing campaigns that increase exposure and connection to potential partners, youth participants, grantors, sponsors and grow our social reach. 

• Manage the donor CRM database with clean, clear, accurate tracking of all donors, donations, and reporting.  
• Provide an annual fundraising plan as part of annual planning and provide monthly reports against the plan to the ED and board as requested. 

           Fund Development Coordinator Requirements:

• 3-7 years of experience fundraising in the non-profit sector.
• Personal passion for our mission; fighting climate change, fighting for vegan food justice, food sovereignty, and belief in our youth as change-makers.
• Strong understanding of various fundraising strategies and techniques, including individual donor cultivation, corporate sponsorships, SMS engagement, and special events fundraising.
• Able to develop and execute strategic plans for fundraising campaigns, set goals, and create a roadmap for achieving them. This includes identifying target audiences and crafting effective messaging.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with donors, board members, volunteers, sponsors, and community partners. The ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds is essential.
• Able to nurture relationships with donors, express gratitude, and ensure their ongoing engagement. This includes keeping donors informed about the impact of their contributions and maintaining accurate donor records.
• Able to analyze financial data, develop budgets for fundraising initiatives, and track and report on fundraising progress.

• Knowledge of marketing and public relations principles that can help promote Hip Hop is Green’s mission, increase awareness, and attract potential donors and supporters.
