On April 1st 2023 Hip Hop is Green held its 4th graduation ceremony for the Youth Excellence Program at El Centro de la Raza!
These youth worked for 10 weeks learning about climate change and having fun.
They planted 527 tree’s, went to visit rescued animals at Pasados, saw 500 year old trees at Federation State Park.
They enjoyed a cooking demo from Chef Mackenzie and ate Keith’s special salsa and tacos.
They enjoyed eating some very tasty vegan food through out the whole program.
Clare from the Department of Natural Resources set up a tour of Washington’s largest Tree nursery – Websters Nursery
They also got to meet and learn from climate change experts.
We really love the work that we do and know that we are making a difference in the lives our our youth.
We enjoyed work with the youth and love to see them learn and have some fun.
